ANFAGUA is a non-profit association, created in 1987, composed of national water meter manufacturers.

Its objectives are:

Promote accurate water metering.

Promote dissemination and training on water measurement technology, standards and equipment.

Facilitate the exchange of experiences among its members to develop advanced equipment, according to market needs and trends.

Collaborate in the development of national and community standards to promote the use of high quality equipment.

Represent its members before organizations and institutions.

Cooperate with other associations in the sector on issues of common interest.

To ensure compliance with professional ethics and applicable legislation in the water meter sector, in defense of users.

Encourage the use of approved meters that comply with metering standards.

History

Foundation and Evolution of the Association

Founded on May 5, 1987.
Founding members: José Luis Macicior Errandonea, Enrique Escassi Santa-María, Eusebio González García, José Mª. Font Artus, and Ramón Rodríguez Turull.
Variations over the years in the composition of associated companies.
It currently has five associated companies.

Chairmanships and Head Offices

The association has had nine presidents since its foundation.
Change of headquarters over time, from María de Molina Street to Príncipe de Vergara Street 132 in Madrid.

Contributions and Alliances

ANFAGUA has signed agreements and collaboration agreements with other associations and entities in the sector.
Collaboration Agreement with ASA, the Association of Water Supply and Sanitation on November 29, 2000.
Collaborating member of AEAS since May 7, 2008.

Outreach and Event Participation

Organization and sponsorship of technical conferences and industry events since 2002.
Active participation in the regulatory and technical dissemination of the sector.
